Monument Lettering & Engraving are peformed on site when additional inscriptions are needed on an existing headstone already in the cemetery.
We usually add the name and dates, and the occasional full monument designs depending on whatever is needed.
Monument Lettering & Engraving are accomplished by sandblasting the monument to carve the letters and designs into the granite or marble stone.
A rubber stencil or template is glued to the headstone, it is then sandblasted. If the letters are supposed to be black then a special type of monument
paint called lithochrome is used to blacken the letters, the stencil is then removed and the monument is cleaned.
